Brenda Song is arguably the queen of the Disney Channel. From shows like The Suite Life of Zack & Cody to movies like Stuck in the Suburbs, Brenda helped shape the 2000s on Disney Channel. And now she’s returned to comedy in Netflix’s Running Point, where she stars as Kate Hudson’s best friend, Ali Lee. So, to celebrate her new series, BuzzFeed had the chance to catch up with Brenda to talk about a whole bunch of things in a game of “First Times.” First, we started by asking what her first memory was from her first Disney audition, and she recalled that the audition was for her first DCOM, The Ultimate Christmas Present (2000). She revealed that, like a bunch of child actors, her first kiss actually happened in front of the camera in an episode of Suite Life, when London kisses a guy at a masquerade party in Season 1. Brenda also adorably talked about her partner, Macaulay Culkin, and how she originally thought their relationship was “a fling at first.” But, she knew he was “the one” when she realized that she missed him a lot when he wasn’t with her. And she even talked about the first time she met Kate Hudson, which was actually at the first table read for Running Point. Brenda said she was “really nervous” but also “really excited.” She added, “Every expectation that I had of her, she exceeded beyond.”
