Kelly Ripa is recalling a frisky situation!
During an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark on Tuesday, July 2, Ripa, 53, walked viewers through a recent unexpected interaction she had with airport security while traveling back from Switzerland with her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos, 53.
After explaining that she always wears the same outfit to the airport to avoid triggering any detectors, she reveals, “and yet, in Switzerland I got beeped. Then I had to remove my shoes, and I was like, ‘Why? They’re sneakers.’”
She continues, “But anyway, shoes off, beeped again. They wanded me, nothing beeped.” With a smile, she adds, “I got frisked.”
Consuelos then jumps in: “I said check her again! Take her backstage.”

After the two let out a laugh, Ripa continues her story.
“I got frisked! Which I got to tell you, it was a gentle frisking. They were frisking me and I was like, ‘go for it. Go all the way for it.’ We got to second base and we exchanged phone numbers for later.”
Consuelos notes that a similar situation happened to a fellow traveler on his way to Switzerland, recalling that “a young guy was about to get the pat down” right in front of him.
He adds that the TSA employee explained to the man, “we’re going to have to touch you here and we’re going to have to touch you in the back.”
“Yeah,” Ripa chimes in. “If you’re going to touch me in the front I want it in the back. Don’t leave me hanging.”
The married talk show hosts previously documented their Swiss getaway on Instagram, including a photo posted by Ripa of the pair cuddled up at a table with a stunning backdrop behind them.
“We are Switzerland baby 🇨🇭🇨🇭” she wrote in the caption.
Meanwhile, the Riverdale alum shared a carousel of photos that revealed scenes from the couple’s boat outing, sightseeing and spending time with their daughter Lola, 23. The pair also share sons Michael, 27, and Joaquin, 21.

During a July 1 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Ripa and Consuelos explained the reason for their vacation was to visit Lola — who lives in London and has a British boyfriend — during her travels to Switzerland.
They noted that Lola goes there “quite a bit” and that they “totally get it” as it’s a “lovely” place.
“Hats off to the people in Switzerland,” Consuelos added. “We were only in one city, but it’s the cleanest. It’s so clean.”
